Through the ups and downs there will always be two groups of people standing behind you 100% of the time, no matter what. Your friends and your family. Most people take it for granted when they call up a buddy and vent, or when a parent comes home from a long day at work, and just listens to your little drama that happened earlier that day. Really, our arguments with friends is nothing compared to what could really be happening. I am fortunate to have parents that are willing to support me by putting me through college and buying me a car. I dont have a BMW, I dont have an iPhone, and I dont get allowance. Yet, I am one of the happiest people around right now. I have 3 of the best friends in the world; Lawrence Lam, Andrew Bielefeld, and Houmam Sairafe. They have been there through any arguments got into with my family, or a tough break up. I can honestly say, I love them. If you call me gay, you clearly dont have friends like mine, whom I consider brothers. Anyways, life is great. Can’t complain. Gnight and gluck.
Today was the epitome of any persons imagined summer day. Wake up to the few light beams creeping their way into the cracks of your blinds. You check the time its already so late that you don’t know whether to eat breakfast or lunch. You lay there and just let relaxation take over your body. I never felt so comfortable in my life. So comfortable I could almost fall back asleep. Just as fast as the thought entered my mind my phone goes off. It is a text from my friend asking if I wanted to get food and head to the beach. With my stomach grumbling I quickly oblige. I get out of bed, throw on some board shorts, grab a towel and money, and head outside. My buddy arrives and we head off to Chipotle. As soon as we enter the lingering smell of freshly cut steak and chicken, along with the cool, zesty, salty guacamole overwhelms me to the center of my mind. I order a burrito obviously too big for me, yet I consume it without even thinking twice. We head to the beach with music blasting and wind blowing through the car. The crisp warm air whisking through my shirt and shorts, between my toes and fingers, throughout out every strand of hair on my head. I feel like I am in a state of trance. We arrive at the beach, park and head down to the sand. Now the next 2 hours were the exact thing they show in the movies. We tan, play voleyball, through around some pigskin, get throw around like ragdolls in the waves, then head back home. After getting home I eat some leftover chicken and take a nice nap. After the nap I enjoyed some FIFA on my xbox and just watched TV for the rest of the day. What can I say? successful day? I think so.
